Deserving Teacher in Topeka Is Our Crystal Apple Award Winner For April

Our latest Crystal Apple Award winner for the month of April is someone who is truly deserving of her students and her co-workers.

Allow me to introduce you to Ms. Angela Sayers who is a 2nd / 3rd grade teacher at Randolph Elementary School in TPS 501. She is a hard worker as she merged the 2nd / 3rd grade curriculum to meet her students where they are academically.

She was nominated by her fellow teacher Angela Neuroth and she had these wonderful words to say about Angela…

Angela goes above and beyond in her classroom with her students.  She builds lasting positive relationships with them.  She plans with her fellow team teachers to provide active and engaging lessons for all of their students.  For holidays she gives each student a special gift to remember the event. She is supportive and encouraging to her fellow teachers.  During the pandemic, she finished her Master’s Degree in Leadership.  She encourages other teachers while they work on their advanced degrees. Angela has been teaching in 501 for 17 years, she has taken the teaching profession to heart and works toward helping her students become the best people they can be.

When I read this nomination letter it was a no brainer that Angela should be awarded the Crystal Apple Award for the month of April where she will receive the following.

Also, Randolph Elementary School will be in the running for a $1,000 donation which will be given away in January 2023.

If you know a teacher, office worker, administrator, or coach that is deserving of the Crystal Apple Award you can send us an email at [email protected].
