November’s Crystal Apple Winner incorporates teaching ASL in her lessons

Congratulations to Kelly Rahmeier of Randolph Elementary School! She is our latest Crystal Apple Award Winner. She teaches kindergarten at Randolph and incorporates learning ASL sign language into her lessons. Below is part of her nomination letter:

I would like to spend a minute to recognize a teacher that is pretty special. Kelly Rahmeier is a kindergarten teacher at Randolph Elementary in Topeka. Being a kindergarten teacher is such a special and unique job. She sets the tone for many young learners. My daughter loves to come school and is excited to learn everyday. She comes home and teaches all of us the sign language that Mrs. Rahmeier has added to her daily lessons. There is nothing you want more than to have your child excited and ready to learn. I am so pleased to have such an incredible teacher help guide and instruct my daughter. We are so beyond lucky to have Mrs. Rahmeier in our lives. Please help our family recognize such an wonderful teacher.
