Junior Achievement Turns 100 Years Old!

Junior Achievement of Kansas

When you hit a certain age, there needs to be a celebration. And that is exactly what Junior Achievement of Kansas is going to do in August.

Junior Achievement  was developed to help kids learn about being fiscally responsible. Here is what their website says about who they are:

Junior Achievement has 109 local JA Areas across the nation, and together we are the nation’s largest organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their futures, and make smart academic and economic choices. JA’s programs—in the core content areas of work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy—ignite the spark in young people to experience and realize the opportunities and realities of work and life in the 21st century.

Junior Achievement in Topeka serves over 11,000 students in the Topeka area and provides fun sessions based on entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial literacy.

The organization turns 100 years old next month. And that means you need to celebrate. On Friday, August 2nd, JA of Kansas will be throwing a birthday party at 712 Innovations, which is located at 712 S Kansas in Topeka. From 4 PM till 8 PM, you can stop by for cupcakes and wine, provided by CoreFirst Bank and TrustThere will also be a showing of  Made Possible: The Business of Junior Achievement, the Emmy-nominated PBS documentary playing every half hour during the evening, sponsored by KTWU and AT&T! And there will be games, including an interactive “JA turns 100” phone app experience, and the opportunity to get involved and learn more!

We hope to see you there!
