Tyler Menke, of St Matthews Catholic School, is our latest Crystal Apple Award Winner! Menke, a 7th-grade teacher, spreads his positive attitude every day to his students and fellow teachers. Here is what our anonymous nominator had to say:
“…Tyler is the 7th grade homeroom and history teacher at St Matthew Catholic School. Tyler is one of the teachers who always has a smile on his face, even at the end of a tough day. He is a positive male role model for all of the St Matthew students, grades K-8th. He attended St Matthews himself and understands the small school environment. He brings youthful ideas and suggestions to the students. He asks for their opinions and always makes sure the students understand why decisions were made and help them understand.
The character of Tyler Menke is why my family feels that he deserves the Crystal Apple recognition. Teaching at a small Catholic School is a sacrifice that not all teachers are willing to make. We are grateful that Tyler Menke made this sacrifice. Our children are better students and people because of his love for teaching and for his students. Thank you.”
