Celebrate the 4th with Spirit of Kansas

Topeka’s most anticipated Fourth of July celebration, the Spirit of Kansas Festival, returns to Lake Shawnee on Thursday, July 4! Get ready for a day of fun, food, fireworks, and of course, music!

This annual tradition offers something for everyone, from classic car enthusiasts and golf lovers to blues fans and those who just want to kick back and watch the fireworks.

Stop by in the morning to tee up at the golf tournaments or admire the hot rods lined up at the car show. Starting at 11am, the Topeka Blues Society will kick of the Blues Festival with the National Anthem, Color Guard, and Spirit Dancer! Later in the evening, witness the thrilling waterski show with the Shawnee County Boat & Ski Club. Finally, end the day with a bang as the night sky lights up over Lake Shawnee. Tune in to Majic for a synchronized musical experience with the Capitol Federal Fireworks Display!

The Spirit of Kansas Festival is the perfect way to celebrate Independence Day with the Topeka community. Bring your lawn chairs, sunscreen, and patriotic spirit for a day you won’t forget!
