What To Do This Holiday Weekend

As Memorial Day approaches, Topeka is preparing a lineup of events to honor the nation’s fallen heroes while bringing the community together through celebration, creativity, and camaraderie. Here’s what’s going on around town this weekend!

Memorial Day Ceremony at Topeka Cemetery

Topeka Cemetery, the oldest chartered cemetery in Kansas, will host its annual Memorial Day ceremony, a solemn and respectful tribute to those who gave their lives in service to the country. The event typically includes a color guard presentation, patriotic music, and speeches from local veterans and civic leaders. This historic site, which is the final resting place for many Civil War soldiers and notable Kansans, offers a reflective setting for remembrance

You can visit the Topeka Cemetery website for more information and for scheduling.
