As of May 19, 2020 The Kansas Department of Labor has updated the process of when to file your claim for unemployment. If your last name starts with A – G, you file on Sunday. H – M can file on Monday, N – S on Tuesday and T – Z files on Wednesday. If you miss your filing day based on your last name, you may file your claim Thursday through Saturday. The department is hoping this will help relieve congestion on their computer system and will also help you get your money quicker.
