Junior Achievement Announces 2020 Topeka Business Hall Of Fame Laureates

On October 8th, Junior Achievement of Kansas announced three new laureates into the Topeka Business Hall of Fame. These men will be honored at the 2020 Topeka Business Hall of Fame Ceremony that will take place in March at the Ramada Hotel and Conference Center in Topeka.

The first laureate is Ken Daniels. He is the founder of Midway Wholesale. According to the press release from JA:

“In its 49-year history, Midway Wholesale has grown from the Topeka location to now operating in nine cities in three states: Kansas, Nebraska, and Missouri. Ken retired from
Midway Wholesale on January 1, 2019. In addition, Ken is the managing partner of Wohlgemuth and Daniel Investments, LLP.”

Sean Kelly from the Majic Morning Show had a chance to sit down and talk to Ken after the announcement.

The second laureate is Dr. Shekhar Challa. He is the President and CEO of Kansas Medical Clinic. He is also the founder of Osteoporosis Services, Inc.

The final laureate announced was David Porterfield. He was a co-founder of Porterfield’s Flower’s and Gifts. Here is David talking to Sean Kelly about the future of Topeka and how he was a part of a presidential inauguration:

These three men have made Topeka a better place to live. They are very humble with their induction into the Topeka Business Hall of Fame and encourage you to help out Junior Achievement either by donating time or money. The organization does a great job preparing our youth with skills to be great with money when they get older.
