This year is the 80th anniversary of the release of the movie that puts the Sunflower state front and center. The Wizard Of Oz is returning to theaters for a three day celebration this month.
On January 27th at 2 PM and on January 29th and 30th at 7 PM, theaters across the country will show the story of a girl and her dog being swept away by a tornado and going to a far away land. There will also be insight from Ben Mankiewicz, a TCM host.
In Topeka, you can watch the movie at Regal Hollywood Stadium 14, and in Lawrence, you can watch the movie at Regal Southwind Stadium 12.
