Flappers & Moonshine at the Jayhawk Theatre

Come to the Jayhawk Theatre for Flappers & Moonshine, a 1920’s themed event, on August 4, 2018. Join us from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Jayhawk Theatre in downtown Topeka. Find tickets for Flappers & Moonshine at www.jayhawktheatre.org.

Topeka’s own 18-piece swing orchestra 785 Big Band will play big band music of the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s from 7:45 to 10:00. With both concert seating and a dance floor this event is for everyone! Patrons will be able to purchase drinks from The Celtic Fox and treats from Hazel Hill Chocolate during the event.

You can also learn the Charleston, the iconic dance of the 1920’s, in a beginner dance lesson from 7:00 to 7:30. All ages and ability levels welcome! Make the evening extra fun by dressing up in 1920s duds, then capture the moment by posing in our photo booth hosted by Long Lasting Memories Photography. Lumen Photography will also be taking candid photos throughout the event.

Patrons who purchase VIP tickets will have access to our exclusive VIP lounge and pool table with hostess Miss Killer Diller. VIP ticket holders will receive a complimentary drink from the Celtic Fox, a chocolate treat from Hazel Hill, and be entered in a drawing to win swag bags containing tickets, gift certificates, merchandise and coupons from local businesses. Swag bag donors include Last Minute Folk, Hot in Topeka Burlesque, Julie’s Coffee & Bistro, Pedego Electric Bikes Topeka, HHB BBQ, Leaping Llamas Artisan Shop and many more!
