Stay Alive And Don’t Drive Drunk This Holiday Season

The holidays are a time when families get together and celebrate Christmas and the upcoming new year. Most of the time that will include having a few adult beverages. That can lead to a deadly ending.

According to a press release from Outreach Partners:

“Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska are dedicated to highlighting the dangers of impaired driving and getting those under the influence off the roads this holiday season. Drunk-driving crashes claimed 651 lives in these states in 2017 and nearly one in four weekend drivers tested positive for at least one drug that could impair their driving.”

There are many ways that you can make it home safe this holiday season. The easiest way to stay alive is to designate a driver so that sober person can drive you home. The NHTSA has a app for your phone that will allow you to find a sober ride home.

If you happen to see an impaired driver, call the authorities immediately. Make sure that everyone this holiday season is safe for not only you but everyone else.
